The Chalonge Meudon Workshop 2014

Post by Hector de Vega » April 05 2014

Title: "From Large to Small scale structures in Agreement with Observations:
CMB, Warm Dark Matter, Galaxies, Black holes, Neutrinos and Sterile Neutrinos".

Dates: Wednesday 4, Thursday 5 and Friday 6 JUNE 2014

Place: Observatoire de Paris at Meudon, in the
Meudon historic Castle-CIAS building, Meudon, France,

Registration is open. Deadline for Registrations: 1st MAY 2014

Early Registration is strongly encouredged:

The crisis of CDM + (baryonic cures), the crisis of Wimps and their decline.
Recently, Warm (keV scale) Dark Matter emerged
impressively over CDM (Cold Dark Matter) as the leading Dark Matter
candidate. Astronomical evidence that Cold Dark Matter (CDM) and its
proposed tailored baryonic cures do not work at galactic and small scales
is staggering. WDM solves naturally the problems of CDM
and agrees remarkably well with the observations at all scales:
CMB, large and cosmological scales as well as galactic and small scales.
Warm Dark Matter (WDM) implies novelties in the astrophysical, cosmological,
particle and nuclear physics context.

Particle model independent analysis of astrophysical dark matter.
The impact of the mass of the dark matter particle on the small scale
structure formation and the choice of the initial conditions.
Observational and theoretical progress on the nature of
dark matter: keV scale warm dark matter.
Structure formation in agreement with observations.
The recent keV line X-ray detection in galaxy clusters.
The dark matter candidate: Sterile neutrinos at the keV scale.

Active and sterile neutrinos mass bounds from cosmological data and from
astrophysical and X ray data and from high precision beta decay experiments.

News on neutrinos and eV scale sterile neutrinos.
News from reactor and accelerator experiments on neutrinos and their
science implications.

The Thomas Fermi framework to describe the structure and physical states
of galaxies in agreement with observations.
The equation of state of galaxies. Universal and non universal profiles.
Cored density profiles with WDM core sizes in agreement with observations.
Supermassive Black Holes: Theory and Observations. The clarifying and
unifying WDM framework for stars, galaxies and cosmology.

Warm (keV scale) dark matter N-body simulations in agreement with
observations at large and intermediate scales.
