P2IO Postdoctoral position in Cosmology/Gravity, Paris Sacla

Post by Valeria Pettorino » December 01 2016

The French P2IO LABEX invites applications for a 2 year postdoctoral position in cosmology/gravity, starting in fall 2017. The position is shared among three institutes in Paris Saclay, the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) and the Service d’Astrophysique (SAp) of CEA-Saclay, and the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique (LPT) of the Université Paris-Sud 11. The successful candidate will be hosted by these three institutes and carry out research on dark energy and modified gravity, both on theoretical aspects and on connecting theories with observations. Applicants should not have been employed in a P2IO laboratory in the last two years and should have defended their thesis at most 6 years before the starting of the position.

The IPhT, SAP and LPT are located approximately 20km southwest of Paris along the RER B line. Permanent members working in cosmology/gravity include: E. Babichev, C. Charmousis and B. Van Tent at LPT (http://www.th.u-psud.fr); V. Pettorino (starting Dec. 2016) and J.-L. Starck at SAp in the CosmoStat Laboratory (http://www.cosmostat.org/, http://irfu.cea.fr/Sap/); Ph. Brax, P. Valageas and F. Vernizzi at IPhT (http://ipht.cea.fr/en/Phocea-SPhT/ast_v ... id_ast=537).

Applications must be submitted electronically on the Academic Jobs Online website:
( https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/8650 ) before 25th December 2016 and include a CV (including a full list of publications) and a statement of research interests. Applicants should arrange for at least three reference letters to be submitted through Academic Jobs Online.
