CAMB Matter Power Spectrum

Post by Abhirup Datta » January 23 2008

Hi

I am using the CAMB package to get the matter power spectrum. The output file 'test_matterpower.dat' seems to have matter power spectrum as a function of k/h . But what are the units of Matter Power Spectrum and the k-value?

I am used to seeing the power spectrum in the EoR papers in mK^2 and the k in Mpc^-1.

Thanks
Abhi

Is there a normalization constant involved in converting this to the scale of mK or Jansky (as seen in most of the literature) ??

Thanks
Abhi

How the power spectrum of the linear dark matter perturbations relates to any given observable is not generally obvious. If you are asking about 21cm I suggest you read astro-ph/0608032.
