Arxiv New Bug

Post by Thomas Dent »

An attempt to use the arxiv filter resulted in the following cryptic complaint:
Your keywords contain invalid characters or do not make well-formed regular expressions.
Check your profile settings.
strtotime() [function.strtotime]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for 'EDT/-4.0/DST' instead
Any suggestions?

The problem was caused because the server was upgraded to php5 on the 11th Sept - unfortunately while I was away. It should be back to normal now, but some papers may be missing from 11th-13th Sept. Please let me know if you spot any other irregularities.
