COSMOLOGY WORKSHOP IN THESSALONIKI 3 - 6 JUNE, 2024

Post by Kerkyra Asvesta » February 12 2024

Standard cosmology at the threshold of change? 3 - 6 June 2024
The meeting will focus on current challenges facing the standard cosmological model. Key topics will include the intriguing aspects of cosmic dipoles, the S8 tension, the bulk-flow question, the Hubble tension and the JWST observations. Our aim is to explore the observational status of these issues, as well as examine the main theoretical approaches proposed to address them.

The meeting is organized by the Cosmology Group at the Astronomy Lab of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the venue is in the university campus, near the city centre. The event is part of the three-year research project "Tilted Cosmology", funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation.
The conference venue is at the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA), close to the university campus, in Thessaloniki, Greece.
