ESSENTIAL COSMOLOGY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION
(also known as Cosmology on the Beach)
* January 13-17, 2014 in Los Cabos, Mexico *
We're back! The Conference website is now available at http://bccp.berkeley.edu/beach_program/index2014.html
Applications will open in August.
This meeting is the 5th annual edition of this ever popular and productive conference. A range of topics in cosmology will be covered at the conference by eminent scholars in the field, with elements of both a winter school and the latest research results. Course lectures are blended with recent research advances in plenary talks, and student/postdoc participation through discussions, posters, and contributed talks. We encourage a diverse group of advanced graduate students, postdocs, and established researchers enthusiastic about interacting to apply.
LECTURE COURSES:
Eric Feigelson (Penn State) - Statistical Methods for Cosmology
Gilbert Holder (McGill) - CMB Polarization Cosmology
Daniel Holz (Chicago)- Gravitational Wave Cosmology
David Schlegel (LBNL) - From Experiment to Cosmology
HOT RESEARCH TALKS:
Pedro Ferreira (Oxford) - Cosmological Tests of Gravity
Fernando Quevedo (ICTP) - Particle Physics and Cosmology
...more tba...
Organized by the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics and Instituto Avanzado de Cosmologia, Mexico.
