FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

The Spanish Relativity Meeting 2009 (ERE2009) will be organised
by the Department of Theoretical Physics and History of Science of
the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV-
EHU) and will take place from the 7th to 11th of September 2009 at the
Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales, UPV-EHU in Bilbao
(Basque Country, Spain).

The Spanish Relativity Meetings/Encuentros Relativistas Españoles
(ERE) are international scientific meetings on Relativity,
Gravitation, Relativistic Astrophysics and Cosmology, organised
annually by Spanish groups working in these areas. Nowadays, they are
supported by the Spanish Society of Gravitation and Relativity
(SEGRE), but their history dates back to 1977.

The primary objective of the ERE is to promote contacts between
research groups on all topics of Relativity and Gravitation. The
ERE2009 will aim at the general field of Gravitation in a wide sense.
Thence the title:

Gravitation in the Large
