---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Center for Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3) at ``Universite catholique de Louvain'' (Belgium) invites applications for two postdoctoral positions open in theoretical physics starting in the fall 2008.

Applicants interested in:

- Non-perturbative gauge dynamics, non-commutative geometry and quantum gravity;

- Theoretical cosmology and early universe models (inflation, topological defects...), modified gravity and string cosmology, CMB physics and structure formation;

- Phenomenology of the standard model and beyond, mechanisms of spontaneous symmetry breaking, QCD at colliders, flavor physics and CP-violation;

are particularly encouraged to apply.

Research activity in the Center is equally strong on the theoretical as well as on the experimental and instrumental fronts. The theory group includes four faculty members, several post-doctoral fellows and Ph.D. students. The group has also strong collaborations with the CMS experiment at CERN and the Planck mission. For further information on members and research activities, please visit the web site at http://cp3.phys.ucl.ac.be.

Appointments are for two years and are supported by the Belgian Interuniversity Attraction Pole development scheme: close contacts with the other European theory groups provide additional stimulating research environments.

Letters of application (including curriculum vitae, list of publications, a brief statement of research interests) and at least two recommendation letters from senior scientists should be sent by the 15th of December 2007 (preferably via e-mail), to either:
