Postdocs in Cosmology and Particle Physics at Louvain Univ.

Post by Christophe Ringeval » November 24 2006

The Center for Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3) at "Universite
Catholique de Louvain" (Belgium) invites applications for at least two
postdoctoral positions in theoretical physics starting fall 2007.

Applicants interested in:

1. Phenomenology of the standard model and beyond at colliders,
including model building, precision physics, flavor physics and
Monte Carlo development,

or

2. Theoretical cosmology, early universe models (topological defects,
braneworlds, inflation...), scalar-tensor theories, CMB and
structure formation,

are particularly encouraged to apply.

Research activity in the Center is equally strong on the experimental
and instrumental fronts as on the theoretical ones. The theory group
includes faculties (Jean-Marc Gerard, Jan Govaerts, Fabio Maltoni,
Christophe Ringeval), several post-docs and Ph.D. students. The theory
group has also collaborations with the CMS experiment at CERN and the
Planck mission.

Appointments are for two years and are supported by the Belgian
Interuniversity Attraction Pole development scheme: close contacts to
the other European theory groups may provide additional stimulating
research environments. For further information on research activities,
please visit the web site http://cp3.phys.ucl.ac.be.

Letters of application (including curriculum vitae, list of
publications, a brief statement of research interests) and at least
two recommendation letters from senior scientists should be sent by
8th of January 2007 (preferably via e-mail), to
