The cosmology group at the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) of the CEA-Paris Saclay invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical cosmology, with focus on the large-scale structure, starting Fall 2022 or earlier.
The appointment is for two years with possible extension to a third year. It is financed by French ANR.
The successful candidate will be involved in the activities of the cosmology group (including B. Bellazzini, F. Bernardeau, P. Brax, P. Fleury, P. Valageas and F. Vernizzi, see https://www.ipht.fr/Phocea/Vie_des_labos/Ast/ast_visu.php?id_ast=868), notably on the theoretical modeling of large-scale structure probes, in relation to the scientific exploitation of future galaxy surveys such as Euclid. We seek applications from candidates with strong expertise in theoretical physics and large-scale structure, with both theoretical and numerical skills. Women and members of underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
The IPhT is located approx. 20km southwest of Paris along the RER B line, with dedicated commuter buses to and from various locations in Paris. It benefits from a rich scientific environment on the CEA/Paris-Saclay campus and in the Paris area.
Applications must be submitted electronically on the Academic Jobs Online website:
( https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/20234 ) and include a short CV, a publication list and a research statement. Applicants should arrange for three reference letters to be submitted through AJO.
For further information and inquiries please contact Filippo Vernizzi ([Log in to view email]).
Deadline: December 5th 2021.
