Postdoctoral opportunities at the University of Cape Town

Post by Chris Clarkson » March 30 2015

The Cosmology Group at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, will be considering postdoctoral applications to start in 2016. There are several opportunities to apply for fellowships with deadlines throughout the year.

Together with the string theory group and the Astronomy Department, the Cosmology Group forms part of the Astrophysics Cosmology & Gravity Centre - . This Centre comprises 20 faculty with similar numbers of postdocs and students, working in a wide variety of fields. People in the Cosmology Group work on a variety of subjects including dark energy and modified gravity, relativistic cosmology and magnetic fields. We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in cosmology with the next generation of large scale surveys.

We are currently offering to support strong applicants for Claude Leon Postdoctoral Fellowships - please see ... elines.htm for more information. The internal deadline for this application will be 15 May 2015, but we will start considering candidates by 15 April.

Further fellowships will be advertised here as they become available

If you are interested, please make contact with one of us who you would like to help with the submission, and provide further details of other opportunities as they become available.
