Postdoctoral opportunity at Brookhaven National Laboratory

The Physics Department at Brookhaven National Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral position as Research Associate in astrophysics/cosmology. This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics or astronomy. A strong background in cosmology is required and focus on theory or data analysis of large-scale structure is preferred, but all exceptional candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will have access to data from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) experiment and to extensive large-scale computing and technical resources at the laboratory. This position comes with competitive salary, travel allowance, and benefits.

Brookhaven National Laboratory is developing a program in cosmology, following a long tradition of strength in particle and nuclear physics. The program includes near-term cosmology projects BOSS and Dark Energy Survey (DES), as well as the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST).
