3 COSMOLOGY POSTDOCS AT PORTSMOUTH
The Institute of Cosmology & Gravitation at the University of Portsmouth will shortly be advertising for three 3-year postdoctoral positions in cosmology, funded by the UK Particle Physics & Astronomy Research Council.
The positions are in the following areas:
* Dark Energy - new approaches to constrain dark energy
* Galaxy Evolution - new studies based on SDSS data (joint project with the University of Sussex)
* Cosmological Perturbations - linking the early universe to observations
The ICG has recently joined the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, is a partner in the UK National Supercomputer Consortium COSMOS, and is a member of the GWFMOS/KAOS feasibility study. The postdocs will have full access to all of these resources, as well as to the 2 SGI multi-processor machines at the ICG.
Staff at the ICG include: Bruce Bassett, Marco Bruni, Rob Crittenden, Roy
