BOSS data analysis postdoc at IEU Korea

Post by Eric Linder » February 14 2011

Institute for the Early Universe, Seoul, Korea (http://ieu.ewha.ac.kr)
intends to hire a postdoctoral researcher with expertise relevant
to BOSS data analysis. BOSS (Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic
Survey) is part of Sloan-III.

IEU partners with the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics
(http://bccp.lbl.gov) and the Paris Center for Cosmological Physics
(http://pariscosmo.fr), and the successful postdoc could make research visits to both.
A joint appointment with Paris might be possible. The postdoc would
work with Profs. Eric Linder, Uros Seljak, and George Smoot at IEU.
IEU is also involved with BigBOSS and other future dark energy projects,
and UFFO (UltraFast Flash Observatory), an optical/gamma ray burst
microsatellite.

The starting date could be any time between March 2011 and October 2011.
We would also consider an interim postdoc position from March-September
2011 for a researcher already familiar with BOSS.

Please contact directly Eric Linder [Log in to view email] or George Smoot [Log in to view email]
if interested in applying, sending just your cv initially.
