Grade - 7
Hours - Full Time
Salary (inclusive of London allowance) - £31,778 to £38,441 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cosmology Group within UCL Astrophysics has a strong research programme
in observational cosmology, with wide involvement in several next generation
cosmological surveys such as the Dark Energy Survey and Planck. The project
concerns the development of innovative algorithms to test early universe
physics via novel observables such as non-Gaussianity and statistical
anisotropy, particularly relating to the scientific exploitation of Planck
data.

Key Requirements:
The successful applicant will have a PhD and will be expected to undertake
some teaching duties at the undergraduate level. The post will be available
for up to 2 years in the first instance (the latest start date being 1st Oct
2011), with an extension possible contingent on the availability of funding.
