Installation problem cosmoMc

Post by Souvik Ghose » April 01 2019

I am trying to install CosmoMC on my Ubuntu laptop. The trouble is, I am completely novice with Linux and can not follow the readme instructions. I am to test a dark energy model and plot confidence contours. As far as I understand, I shall need CAMB and Planck as well. What will be the simplest approach to install these and start working?

Hello,

one of the easiest ways I would say, is install CosmoBox, which is a pre-configured virtual environment that contains already all the dependencies to use CosmoMC and CAMB.

Hope it helps,
