z_* from CAMB

Post by Florian Beutler » August 24 2012

I am currently searching for an equation for z_* without the assumption of relativistic species N_eff = 3.04. I was told that the
equation for z_* by Hu & Sugiyama (1996) which many people use, is only valid for the standard assumption of N_eff = 3.04. Is there any way how I can get z_* from CAMB independent of this assumption? Or does anybody know of a scaling of the Hu & Sugiyama equation for such a case?
cheers

The direct integration code is actually in CAMB (from Jan Hamann) - see want_zstar parameter in modules.f90.
