Installing Cosmomc Error

Post by Mohammed Irshad » July 02 2012

Hi,

I am trying to install Cosmomc version Oct11 on my sony vaio laptop 64 bit. I am getting the following error:

cmbdata.F90:984.25:

use wmap_likelihood_7yr
1
Fatal Error: Wrong module version '0' (expected '6') for file 'wmap_likelihood_7yr.mod' opened at (1)
make: *** [cmbdata.o] Error 1

I don't understand its meaning. Somebody please help me with this. Do I need to include some libraries that I am not aware of?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Irshad

seemed your wmap7 was sth wrong.

recompile your wmap libs, and run ./test therein after successful compilation.

Thanks for your reply.

I have installed CFITSIO, GSL and LAPACK libraries. Is there any other libraries that need to be installed? Which other WMAP7 library are you referring to?

Best,
Irshad

I think it is enough.
WMAP package is installed without link to additional packages.

Since your compilation errors indicated sth wrong with WMAP , so previously, what I have said is you either did NOT install WMAP or NOT recompile it before you can run CosmoMC.

Did you recompile WMAP?

Hope this post is stated clearly. :)

Hi Sheng,

Thanks for your reply, but I am not very clear. What do you mean by recompiling WMAP. I make my libraries first and then trying to make the source folder. I also changed the data address in the corresponding folder as stated in the Readme file of COSMOMC.

I don't know if there is something special about compiling or recompiling WMAP, or what exactly it means.

You did not read clearly or line by line in the Readme on Antony's page
For WMAP 7 data (obviously skip the first two steps below if already installed somewhere)

Download the WMAP likelihood code and data from here
Extract to some separate directory
Edit WMAP_7yr_options.F90 to hard code the full path instead of data/
Make and run the test program supplied
Does this help?
