I'm of course new to this software, and a novice in numerical calculations in general.
I tried running cosmomc roughly and check whether the spectral index and its running (n_s, n_{run}) converge to the values quoted in WMAP papers.
We are especially interested in a range which is larger than the standard constraints, and check that the convergence is the same.
I tried to run several parameter value sets
For exmaple one of them was:
parameter start min max start width st. dev.
n_s 0.95 0.5 1.5 0.02 0.02
n_run 0 -2 2 0.1 0.1
k_pivot=0.05 or 0.002
The runs terminated after a few iterations. I thought that this is close enough to the WMAP values so it should converge.
Thanks in advance,
Ido.
