Re-ionisation optical depth

Post by Adam Amara » November 11 2008

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for posting this question. There's no particular reason why Tau cannot be 0. In the iCosmo package we pass the inputs that the user specifies through a set of checks (check_fiducial.pro) to make sure that nothing crazy is entered. There's a check to make sure that Tau isn't negative which I did by making sure that Tau was greater than zero. In the next update we could consider changing this criteria to be greater than or equal to zero is ok.

Thanks,

Adam

Thanks.

It might be useful to include a correction for sigma_8 depending on tau, to make the matter power spectrum closer to the CAMB calculation.
