issue with very open universe in Cosmo MC

Post by Ricardo Monteiro » July 07 2008

Dear all

I am having problems with forcing Cosmo MC to look at high negative spatial curvatures (positive Omega_k).

If I run Cosmo MC, eg. June version, leaving all default values in params.ini the same except Omega_k, the program aborts almost imediately with the message:

MCMC.f90: Couldn't start after 1000 tries - check starting ranges

This happens for instance for Omega_k fixed to 0.05 but not lower. I wonder if there is some conflict with hardcoded priors but the only one I could find was |Omega_k|<0.3.

Thank you

Check the hard coded H_0 priors? (or give \theta a larger starting range)
