We have released a new version of the "Mathematica Interface for CAMB".

The major changes are:

1) Plots of scalar TT, TE and EE theoretical and WMAP 3 yr power spectra

2) The Interface now allows for several models to be shown simultaneously

3) Keybord shortcuts for most of the actions added

4) Tabs for the plots and models, eg Ctrl+T creates a new Tab as in
Firefox browser

5) Besides the basic colors the user may also choose between all available
colors in his system by going to the “Plot->More colors” menu

6) Fixed compatibility issue with Mathematica 6.0

As usual, it can be downloaded from
http://nesseris.physics.uoi.gr/

Also, a flash video demo can be found at
http://nesseris.physics.uoi.gr/camb_interface/demo.html

very cool! (although I try to keep my Mathematica addiction hidden.) Is there a way to get it working on Mac OS X?

Actually, after X-mas (or sooner if finish the very detailed manual I am working on) I will release the source code so that every user may enjoy it in his system (I can't create binaries for every system!).

The thing is, I want to create a manual that describes in detail how the program is built and how all the different technologies used (Fortran, C, Java, Mathematica) are combined.

Savvas

PS Why keep your "Mathematica addiction hidden"? Mathematica rocks!

That would be really great, actually, because I'd love to learn by example how to integrate F95 with Mathematica, passing variables back and forth and so on.

Mathematica does rock. Although with numerics it lulls you into a sense of security and then breaks down just when you love it the most. Like a heroine in a Woody Allen film.

Hi,

the links http://nesseris.physics.uoi.gr and http://nesseris.physics.uoi.gr/camb_interface/demo.html are dead for me. Is it a temporary down or has the project been discontinued?

Thank you for any answer,

Guido

The site you mention is permanently down as the server is dead, but for the time being you can find the project here:
http://users.uoi.gr/me01629/interface.htm

I actually plan to release an update in a month or two, but I can't promise anything for sure.

Cheers

It has come to my attention (thanks to O. Piattella) that the Interface does not run at all in Mathematica 7.

This is due to some change introduced in the new version (thanks again Mr. Wolfram!) which causes the GUI to crash. So for the time being, the solution is to use Mathematica up to version 6.03
