UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Post-doctoral Fellowships in Cosmology

Applications are invited for Post-doctoral Research Fellowships to commence in October 2005. Between one and three fellowships will be available. Applications from candidates with strong observational or theoretical interests in Cosmology are encouraged, with preference in the areas of the cosmic microwave background, gravitational lensing and large scale structure.

The newly formed Cosmology programme at UCL is part of one of the largest Astrophysics groups in the UK which also has active research programmes in star formation, the interstellar medium, astro-chemistry, planets, atmospheric physics and instrumentation. The Head of the Astrophysics group is Prof. Ofer Lahav, and the recently appointed faculty members in Cosmology are Dr. Sarah Bridle and Dr. Jochen Weller. Each position is for a maximum of three years. Salary scale is in the RA1A range: £22,507 to £29,128 plus £2330 London Allowance.
