CosmoMC error

Post by Ana Vasile » January 25 2007

Hi ,

Can anyone tell me what could be the origin of such an error listed below, sometimes after 3 days, sometimes after 5 minutes since the beginning of the run?

forrtl: severe (174): SIGSEGV, segmentation fault occurred
Image PC Routine Line Source
ld-linux.so.2 001967A2 Unknown Unknown Unknown
libguide.so 009C398F Unknown Unknown Unknown
libpthread.so.0 0037F341 Unknown Unknown Unknown
libc.so.6 002766FE Unknown Unknown Unknown

I am running a cosmomc with lensing, polarization and all_l_exact (no mpk).
I suspect something is wrong with the cluster but my question is if I it can also be my somehow my fault.

Also, another question would be if the combination of options listed above (lensing, polarization, etc) may slow down the run so much (three days and still the last output is Starting Montecarlo). I should say I run 6 processes on 5 nodes x 4 CPU's.

And finally, if this is indeed "the cluster's fault", does anyone know any free-access cluster ?

Ana
