Postdoc position in LAPTH, Annecy, France

Post by Julien Lesgourgues » November 16 2005

The Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of Annecy (LAPTH) is pleased to
announce the opening of a postdoc in "Cosmology: Theory, Models and
Observations", starting in fall 2006.

Candidates should have some interest in one or several of the
following aspects: inflation, dark energy, dark matter, neutrinos and
other cosmological relics. They should either be expert on numerical
techniques for cosmological parameter extraction (Boltzmann codes,
Monte Carlo Markov Chains) or be willing to learn and manipulate them.

LAPTH is located in the French Alps, 45 minutes away from Geneva and
CERN, and four hours away from Paris by train. Locally, the candidate
will have the possibility to interact with the LAPTH cosmology and
astroparticle group (C.Boehm, P.Chardonnet, P.Salati, R.Taillet)
and in particular with J.Lesgourgues.

This position is opened in the framework of a joint project with the
Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (IAP), and the candidate should
expect collaborations and networking activity with the Paris group,
which includes J.Martin, P.Peter, S.Prunet, A.Riazuelo (coordinator)
and J.P.Uzan.

A PhD degree and relevant research experience are required. Applicants
should send their curriculum vitae, list of publications, and research
program before December, 20th, either by email to
