new parameter in cosmomc with uniform prior

Post by Nishanth Sasankan » November 01 2017

Hi everyone,
I am very new to cosmomc and I am trying to add a new parameter with a uniform prior in cosmomc. I know how to add the new parameter but I am not sure how I can implement a uniform prior (top hat prior) for the new parameter. Is it sufficient to just give a center, max and min but no width or propose width value in the params_CMB_defaults.ini file?

Thanks
Nishanth

Priors are flat by default, just give center, max and min AND a starting and proposal width (the latter two have no impact on the prior, just how big jumps the code makes in the parameter).
