Looks weird, did you change anything? Run "make cosmomc_debug" and run the debug version to get a more helpful error.

Please see the FAQ page for debugging suggestions

I am using ifort 17 update 4 as well as update 3 with ubuntu 16.04. The code is also not writing .chk files in chains directory with checkpoint=T.

Hmm, don't know.

Though if you are including BICEP you probably want compute_tensors=T if varying r.

.Did compute_tensor= T with varying r in test.ini. Still having same problem. Is it related to compiler?

I am using ifort 17 update 4.
Then I tried with ifort 16 but it couldn't compile and gave following error.

Code:
cliklike.f90(2): error #7012: The module file cannot be read.  Its format requires a more recent F90 compiler.   [CLIK]
    use clik

You might need to rebuild everything if changing compiler version.

Try the latest github version with ifort 17.4
