I just wanted to add to the above information that the candidate is expected to spend at least six months at the University of Chicago, working with the QUIET analysis group there, and possibly more if he/she wants to. Extended visits (~1-2 months each) to Chile are also very likely.

Also, as pointed out in the text, we are looking for somebody with strong programming skills. Of course, a broad physics background is always useful, but programming is even more important for this position.

For the right candidate I think this is a very good opportunity: Immediate contact with real cutting-edge data (*), generous travel opportunities, excellent local computer resources, and a fairly decent Ph. D. salary should prove attractive to quite a few people out there, So if you are interested, please don't hesitate to submit an application... :-)

(*) QUIET will start observing in only a few months now!
