[camb] Plotting cl''s along with error bars

Post by Ira *Wolfson » September 03 2017

Hi all,

I am interesting in plotting the famous power spectrum cl's vs. l graph,
but with the actual observations and error bars, to compare between the results of several theories.

I was able to plot the actual graph (no fuss - it's in the camb readme),
but how can I add the observations and error bars?

If you already have the Cls, then plotting them with the errors is easy:

In Python:
https://matplotlib.org/1.2.1/examples/p ... _demo.html

In Mathematica:

I meant where do I find the error bars for the actual Cl's either in the camb output, or otherwise somewhere else.

So, Any ideas regarding where do I get the error bar --data-- on the Cl's?
Not asking how to plot, but how to get the data.

We have a collection of some recent Cl data points and errors on this page of the LAMBDA site (scroll down to CMB-only TT power spectrum, click the text file link): https://lambda.gsfc.nasa.gov/graphics/
