Postdoc position (2+3 years) on Neutrino Phenomenology in C

The Group of Physics and Astrophysics of Neutrinos (GEFAN) of the State
University of Campinas (Unicamp) seeks applicants for a postdoctoral
position. Candidates should preferably have experience in one of the
following fields:

(1) Phenomenology of neutrinos (in general), including model building,
neutrino cosmology, astrophysics of neutrinos etc.

(2) Expertise in neutrino phenomenology in long baseline experiments
focused on DUNE experiment.

The GEFAN has four teachers working in neutrino phenomenology: Orlando
Peres, Marcelo Guzzo, Pedro HOlanda, Ernesto Kemp and Ettore Segreto and
several master's and doctoral's students. The State University of Campinas
(Unicamp) is a public university in the state of São Paulo occupying one
of the best ratings among Brazilian universities as well as in Latin
America. The fellowship in question is provided by the Foundation of São
Paulo (FAPESP), which is a public foundation in Sao Paulo, Brazil. FAPESP
post-doctoral fellowship comprises R 81,831.00 tax-free (1 US dollar is
approximately 3.3 reais). Installation and travel expenses will be
reimbursed, corresponding to airfare and an additional monthly salary for
installation. The fellowship includes grant for travel expenses and
research of R $ 12,274 per year.


The fellowship is initially two years, with the possibility of extension
of up to three additional years (a total of five years), depending on the
mutual interest. The starting date is 01/November 2016, however, it is
negotiable. In addition, depending on mutual agreement, to one year of
exchange may occur in an institution outside Brazil. Interested applicants

2016 and the evaluation of the application starts soon after, although the
requests after this period will be considered until the position is
filled.
