Postdoctoral positions in cosmology, University Heidelberg

Post by Eduard Thommes » November 10 2010

The Institute for Theoretical Physics, University of Heidelberg, Germany, invites applications for postdoctoral positions in cosmology.

You would be part of the cosmology group of the Institute for Theoretical Physics (groups of Prof. L. Amendola and Prof. C. Wetterich).
Traditionally, postdocs at Heidelberg enjoy great freedom in pursuing their research independently or in collaboration with faculty, postdocs and students. Neighboring institutes here at Heidelberg include the Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy. Currently, the group consists of four postdocs and several PhD students.

For more information on the cosmology group and the institute,
see http://www.thphys.uni-heidelberg.de/~cosmo/

The salary is from EURO 38.000-50.000 p.a. (before tax) depending on work experience. Appointments are for two years, with possible extensions. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, bibliography and statement of research interests, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to:

Prof. C. Wetterich or Prof. L. Amendola
Institut fuer Theoretische Physik
Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg
Philosophenweg 16
69120 Heidelberg
Germany

We prefer applications to be sent by post.
