Workshop on a Future Tevatron Fixed Target Program

Post by Sergei Kopeikin » June 28 2008

An informal workshop on the potential for physics from a future Tevatron Fixed Target Program will be held Sept 4-5 from noon to noon at Fermilab. This inaugurates the Tevatron Working Group formed at the Third Workshop on a High Intensity Proton Source.

The Tevatron is a unique resource. A Fixed Target Program will open
up new physics which cannot be done at any other laboratory. This includes electroweak precision measurements, nutau physics, neutrino production of charm, studies of exotic neutrino properties, precision
tests using D0-D0bar mixing and even tests of General Relativity at high gamma.

Your ideas are welcome!

A wiki for the working groups is available at:

Registration for the FutureTeV will be free, and a registration webpage
will be advertised in July.

If interested in contributing to the workshop, please sign up for the FutureTev listserv or contact the subgroups listed on the Wiki page above.

To subscribe to the listserv:

-- Send an e-mail message to [Log in to view email]
-- Leave the subject line blank
-- Type "SUBSCRIBE FUTURE_TEV_AT_FERMILAB FIRSTNAME LASTNAME"
(without the quotation marks) in the body of your message.

Please save the date and plan to attend!

Heidi Schellman and Janet Conrad for the organizing committee...
