postdoctoral positions at McGill in astro/cosmology

Post by Gil Holder » October 04 2007

There are several postdoctoral positions available at McGill University in the fields of astrophysics, experimental cosmology, observational cosmology, and theoretical cosmology.

Cosmology interests covered at McGill include galaxy evolution and galaxy clusters, CMB theory and experiment, large scale structure, reionization and early universe cosmology. The principal cosmology faculty members at McGill are Robert Brandenberger, Jim Cline, Matt Dobbs, Gil Holder, and Tracy Webb; ongoing experimental/observational projects with significant McGill activity are the RCS galaxy cluster survey, the South Pole Telescope, APEX-SZ, EBEX, and POLARBEAR.

Links to positions available (note: early universe cosmology is listed under HEP theory) can be found at http://www.physics.mcgill.ca/research/pdfs.html

The deadlines range from Nov 1-Dec 1 (with Nov 1 being the deadline for the most open-ended fellowship).
