CAMB: matter power spectrum normalization

Post by dinesh raut » August 28 2007

There is a option in params.ini which allows for selection of COBE normalization. But, the output power spectrum doesn't seem to be normalised accordingly? Also what are various columns in the outputted transfer function files? The window funtion used for sigm8 calculation is top hat or gaussian?
Thanks.

COBE normalization only applies if you generate C_l (after all it uses scaling based on low-l C_l amplitude) - I've not actually tested it for years. The option is pretty much obsolete and is only included because it was in CMBfast.

See http://cosmocoffee.info/viewtopic.php?p=2622 for transfer functions.

Sigma_8 has standard definition (rms in spheres).
