CAMB error?

Post by Savvas Nesseris » June 11 2007

Hi,
Regarding the problem you have to be a bit more specific! Is CAMB just out of the box or did you make any changes? What is the argument next to "get_transfer" in the params.ini file? It should be something like T or F.

Cheers,
Savas

Hi,

thanx for the reply.
I changed it to 'T' and every thing above is set to 'F' and it worked the first time I ran it...but then it started to give errors after!!!

CAMB error?

Hi,
when you say errors, what exactly do you mean? Please, be a bit more specific!

Cheers,

Savas

PS. I tried calculating only the transfer function (get_transfer T and all other three F) and it works fine as it should.

CAMB error?

Post by Paniez Paykari » June 11 2007

Hi,

to b honest..all it says is the error i said b4....nothing else....
but i just downloaded it again and tried and it worked........dont really no what the problem was with the old 1.....thanks anyways....

also, do u know if its possible to get the same k range for closed/open/flat universes in the transfer function? so that if i want to plot the transfer function against k, then i would have the same start/finish point in k and also the same no of k's (i.e points) within that range!

cheers

CAMB outputs the matter power spectrum at a fixed set of k (I think). If you want to do it from the transfer functions yourself you'd need to interpolate to the k you want, e.g. using splines (thisis what CAMB does to get the matter power spectrum).
