Postdoctoral Research Fellows (Two posts)
Particle Theory
School of Physics & Astronomy
University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham has recently established a new Particle Physics Theory Group which has close research links with the Quantum Gravity Group in the School of Mathematical Sciences.

Applications are invited for the above posts in physics of the early universe. The successful candidates will be expected to work in one or more areas of research which include string cosmology, physics of higher dimensions, particle cosmology and quantum gravity cosmology.

These full-time posts are available from October 2006, and the successful candidates will work at the interface of particle theory, quantum gravity and cosmology.

Candidates must have a PhD in physics or a related subject.

Salary will be within the range £20,044 - £30,002 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. These posts will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years.
