Institute for the Early Universe ( http://ieu.ewha.ac.kr ) at Ewha University in Seoul, Korea is seeking postdoctoral fellows in cosmology research. We are particularly interested in people who will work with both theory and data, or with hardware, especially in the areas of large scale structure, gamma ray bursts, dark energy, or CMB. IEU has an international group of faculty and postdocs and it partners with the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics ( http://bccp.lbl.gov ). Profs. Eric Linder, Uros Seljak, and George Smoot spend extended periods at IEU, and postdocs would be encouraged to have research visits to Berkeley. IEU is involved with data and simulation for Planck, BOSS, BigBOSS, UFFO (gamma ray burst microsatellite), and future dark energy missions.
Applicants should send (by email is required) curriculum vitae, list of publications, short statement of research interests and plans, and three letters of reference to Prof. George Smoot, Director of IEU, ([Log in to view email]) or Prof. Changrim Ahn, PI of WCU project, ([Log in to view email]). Applications sent by December 15 will receive full consideration although applications will continue to be accepted until the positions are filled. Some positions could start as early as March 2011.
